Why is it that whenever something "goes wrong" or is perceived as such, the first finger is always pointed at the Canadians?

I mean, do the Canadians blame the US for the Bloc Quebecois? The Canadian Alliance? Okay, okay, maybe in the case of the Alliance, they SHOULD... ;) But you get the point, right?

I was surprised to see the US government even backpedal as fast as it did. They probably met themselves coming UP with the story...
