Ok, so we left the evil RAID device to it's own devices last night and it magically fixed itself. This is a good thing, but still very worrying at the same time. Oh well :) The mail sever also didn't power back on, but that was a dodgy power supply, and we had about 6 spare, so we just swapped it in, and back it went ;)
So I only had to go in to do the currie hall stuff, which is mostly finished. Just need to document and tidy up and get a media converter exchanged for one that works :P Stupid Allied Telesyn thingy. They should have bought a few of the Cisco 2950C 24's, they have built in fibre ports.. but then again, all fibre optic gear seems to suck bad, so if that broke, it would take out the entire switch, which would be bad.
But Tom seems to want to take the excuse and pay me a weekend call out cause I changed the power supply to sort of acknowledge our angst and trying to get it working last night.. weekend call out pays a minimum 3 hours at double time and a half ;) Eeexcellent.
