I have a TV card in my G4 which isn't officially supported under OS X because the company that made it has gone out of business, but fortunatly there's an open-source project to get it and similar cards to run. I was totally cracking myself up over a post here: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=619499&forum_id=113744

I have a TurboTV card from ixMicro, may they rest in peace

Heh!

Well, I replaced the power supply in the machine mentioned here, and it now powers on.. but the hard drive in it is dead. Yay! :D Doh :P

The new servers arrived today, and I managed to get the client machines authenticating to samba as NT domain client. Will need to get the server authenticating too. It's named sAPPL.Ee.uwa.edu.au .. I likes macs ;) But I can defend it.. APPL = application, and this will be our Microsoft SQL server/application server. And it's for our student network, so it's prefixed with "S" .. we have shomes and smail, spop, simap etc :) Hehe. Getting it out was fun.. had to cut the box off it.. was a bit difficult to remove :)

Feeling a bit geeky tho.. I wanna go see a movie or something with someone or do something social like go out to dinner. Meeeep :( But on the good side, I got a DVD of The g...g... g.. GRINCH. :D Must watch it sometime. Heheh.
