May. 12th, 2002 12:44 amWheee.. got up earlyish this morning and waddled down to the NBC Studios to hang out outside the Today show and try to get on it. I got there too late tho, so I don't think I got on there. I was waving an Australian flag like the little lamer I am. Heh! Took a bit of a walk around down to 45th street and walked back to the hotel in a bit of a loopy way and then had a bit of a rest.
Went to NYPL and had a look around the reading room, where you can go and plug in your laptop for free and use the internet. But it's too far and I can't be bothered dragging my ibook there. However, 9 other people weren't. I wandered around, no doubt looking suspicious, counting macs. I saw 9 white ibooks, 1 blue ibook, 4 titanium powerbook G4s and one Mocca G3 powerbook. Mmmm multiple Macs. Spent most of the rest of the day just wandering around midtown looking in stores. Ok, so I'm a geek, I also went to the museum of locks on 45th street. What? There were lots of old locks :)
As I was coming out, it started POURING down rain.. gawd there was a lot of rain. I got quite wet. My main set of clothes is hanging up in my hotel room drying :) tonight after the netcafe closes at 11PM, I'm going back to Times Square to try to catch a glimpse of Moby, who's hanging out at Virgin Megastore. I wonder if I should yell out "What's Natalie Portman like in bed!" .. perhaps not ;)
On a related rant note, I've been watching bit of TV here. They have ads for Paxil on. The ads claim that it's non addictive. However, it's users say otherwise. Sigh. Stupid culture where money can buy and co-opt the truth. Not that I'm on anything, but I have a few good friends who are or have been on Paxil, so I feel for them :( FDA warning on Paxil with contradicts what Paxil's ads say. Hmm yeah.
Tomorrow I'm off to Boston to stay with
ursamajor till friday, then we're going to Montreal. Yay! I'm excited! :D
