Car repair place just called.. damage to mum's car will cost $2400 to fix.. sheeesh. Since the car is insured for $3000, the insurance company may just write the car off.. ie, they'll pay us $3000 and crush the car :( Seems ironic and really wasteful, considering mum's out driving it around right now. Yeah yeah, it's not much money either way for a car (AU$1.00 = US$0.50), but the car's 25 years old, soo... heh. It's not that we're cheap, mum could easily afford a new new car, but it's a low priority thing for us, but at the same time, I'm pretty attached to it :(
Of course, $3000 will buy another Torana, but this is our Torana.. we've owned it since 1984 :(

I'm unpacking, and on TV I happened to catch the 2nd lamest show on earth. Guinevere Jones, about a Canadian girl who is the reincarnation of merlin's daughter or something. I mention her Canadianess because the show is filmed in Australia. Like the lamest TV show on earth, Chuck Finn, which is about a Canadian in Australia, but without super powers. What makes this show lamer than the other one is that there's occasional episodes "set" in Canada.. but filmed in Australia. With many many many bad accents. It's horrible to suffer thru :)
Both shows are made by the same company - Barron Entertainment. I did some reading up about this.. apparently the director of the company migrated to Australia from Canada in the 70s. I guess that explains the bizarre storylines :)
Makes me home sick for London tho :( I put my LTC map up on the wall. Heheh
