Mmm Apple goodness.

I got a call yesterday at work from Apple in response to an enquiry phone call I made on friday. We're interested in MacOS X 10.2 Server, which is a very different beast to MacOS X 10.2 .. from what we've read, it can act as a network info server (LDAP, NIS/YP, Active Directory). Apple WA's edu sales manager said he thought they would, but wasn't sure, so he's getting Apple AU's system engineering manager to confirm this and get back to us. But if we wanted to test it out, we could borrow an Xserve from Apple with 10.2 Server on to try out. Mmmmm Xserve of my very own, and at the very least they would give us a set of media for 10.2 to evaluate it with. Mmm free hardware and software from Apple.

Also, the Apple AU Sys Eng is a friend of mine from HS.. and is just about to go on paternity leave for a few weeks to be with his wife :) How cool. I've known him since he was about 20 (Hmm 10 years now.. sheesh). How cuuuute :)
