Oyyy.. busy

It's 12:34 and already I've restored files from backups, setup 5 computers for access by visiting acedemics, reinstalled one lab machine and cleaned up my office some more. Busy busy busy!

And I got to work late. Why? Well mum's not around, so I need to wake myself up. Umm yes, and to do that, I really should set an alarm clock. So I woke up at 8:45 and looked at my watch and went "craaaaaaap".. was out of the house 20 mins late, and dropped in my signed thingy to lodge my tax return. Mmm tax return. Because I didn't work for like 8 weeks this year, I got taxed in a bracket higher than I should have.. so I'm getting a lot back. Mmm :D

And lizvang.. damn girl, you were lucky! I'm so glad you're ok.

Oh, yesterday.. I was on the bus from uni, and saw my bus home directly in front of it.. they both stop on the same street, but at different places, so I had to jump off the uni bus and RUN to the other one.. no worries.. except, well, sprinting thru the centre of perth in front of a couple of police officers tends to gain their attention.. he he he :D Umm and they kinda started following me.. heheh. But they stopped when I got to the bus and it drove off. Heheh.

And also today, I got an LCD screen! yay! :D Umm, well sorta yay.. it's a specially modified LCD screen for 3D stuff. Bah :( It looks all weird for normal stuff, but, I have found an LCD repair place who think they can turn it back to normal for about AU$150. Not too bad. Need to get confirmation from head of dept first however. It used to belong to a now disbanded research group, and cost AU$6000 when it was bought. But they won't be using it any time soon, and it's even crap for what it's meant for, sooo.. I hope I'll get to keep it :D Mmm LCD.

Also, I got a quote from Apple for three new little-rubber-feet for my ibook cause the other ones had broken off. Only $17!@#$%^ Uhh, yeah, I think I'll pass on that for now thank-you-very-much.

Boss is away until next week, getting his wisdom teeth out tomorrow :( Poor boss. Then co-worker Simon later on the year. Heh heh heh :) Mine are good now. The top ones.. I can still feel the scar, and the bottom ones, the holes are smoothing out still. But it's ok and not a problem at all.

So tomorrow.. boss is only in for a little bit, and co-worker only in until lunch, then he's off to an Apple thing at burswood showroom, and I'm meeting dexywexy for lunch. Her mum also works at UWA, and she's going to see her tomorrow.
