Sep. 26th, 2002 08:34 pmWork was the usual today. Did some tidying up.. started to move Jenny's desk.. broke one of the legs off it.. held up corner with one hand, while wedging boxes under that corner.. oops ;> Heh. Will have to get someone to have a look at it tomorrow :)
Spent about 45 minutes trying to get my sound card working. I knew it was in there, but windows XP wouldn't detect it, and the drivers from creative wouldn't install, so I finally, being slightly unsure about what card was in there, I open up the case.. look at the card.. Smack forehead. Push card firmly into slot. Close box, boot up.. and Windows detects it automatically. Heh. And I've been using it for .. 3 months almost, and haven't tried it yet.
Played Medal of Honor: Allied Assault after work for a bit on my Windows XP box.. eww. Nice game. Shame I don't have the Mac version yet. Cuursed XP. In all fairness, it's not too bad.. but it's still windows ;) Got a lift home with da boss and da boss's wife.

e_bee about some stuff that's happening with her right now.
Went down to shops.. got a haircut.. went shopping. Got toothpaste and candy.. don't laugh ;> Caught up with some people. It was pretty quiet down there. Went outside and started walking home. Saw a cat. Had staring competiton with said cat. Heard god-awful crash behind me.. turn around to see a white ford fairlane (1997?) model leaving the scene of accident. Walked into bushes with cat to be unobtrusive. Got part of the license number.. but not all of it (9HB ???). Went to where the accident was to check everyone was okish. Gave them details about the car and my name and phone number, cause I'm a nice community spirited person or something. Mobile number of course.. I think my mobile is in Rachel's name or something, and hers is in mine.. ahh well. Can't be bothered sorting it out. They're both pre-paid, so it's not like we're responsible for each others bills.. and we're still on speaking terms, so if need be we can get in contact.
I really need my eyes checked. Been having a lot of problems focusing today. Boo. Some days I'm ok tho. Annoying. I can handle contacts if need be, I'm sure ;)
That's all I did today ;) Tomorrow, not taking the TiBook into work.. going out to dinner afterward with Susan, formerly known as Stalker!Nurse, and I don't feel like leaving a nifty laptop alone there over the weekend thankyouverymuch. Then saturday, off to the Royal Show with Simon, Tim and some others.
