Went to see him on Monday and he was dong pretty well, so that was good. Co-worker-Simon is back today from his wisdom teeth, which is good, he was expecting to be away a lot longer.
I'm spending most of my working hours fighting with fricken Windows XP. It's better than Windows NT at least, and it's got some funky features. I sent out an email to students on Monday night asking for feedback on our labs. I've got 100 responses so far! Got some good suggestions, and indeed several of our students seem to be quite knowledgable :) Of course, this survey is to make up for the fact they don't have a student rep on our department's IT council anymore, who would actually have more say in the matter than me, since I need to convice my boss to follow their desires in part, instead of the student rep actually having an equal vote/say on the matter at the IT council which decides funding. Oh well :P
And in other news.. this is just stupid. You have to read it to understand, but basically it's the INS totally overreacting about a Quebec man visiting a gas station in Maine.. except the only road in and out of the station leads to Canada. The driveway of the gas station is in Canada, and the pumps are in the US.
