More LCA stuff..
Jan. 23rd, 2003 09:01 pmWent to the keynote this morning, which was Andrew Tridgell talking about how to reverse engineer network protocols.. very nifty. Then we had a morning tea mingle, and I met Linus! w00t. I got a picture of him an daffy too. Eeeexcellent. But theducks.org seems down right now, so I'll just put them on my work server for now.. Had a bit of a chat with him.. he sounds kinda funny trying to say "Crikey, look at that croc!" with an Australian accent. Lent him my program guide for a bit since he hadn't got one. Nice guy :)

hemos, from slashdot while hanging in the machine room. He too has a Powerbook G4/800 with 1GB of RAM ;) So being in the international powerbook G4 fraternity, he and I and some other G4 owners had a bit of a chat about stuff :) He too is also cool. And my dog there's a lot of people with Mac laptops here.. I would say about 50% of attendees with laptops have Mac ones.. tho not all run OSX.
This is what I love about Linux, there's no way that a PC Programming conferance would have people mingling on this level. People do linux because they love it, and thus are really happy to talk about it with anyone and everyone. Those who get paid for it even more so ;)
d00t :)
