Yay, friday!
TGIF, etc. Tho I have to go into work tomorrow, but it's a no-brainer day.. shutting down a bunch of stuff and putting up signs telling people to go away. This week has been one I'd rather not repeat due to some major suck-factor things, but it's all good now. Also had a 120GB HDD and a DVD/CD-RW drive arrive at work today for some server upgrades .. mmm :D Cut my finger slightly changing a network card, but not too badly.. stupid non SMT cards..

grahame and a bunch of other people from UWA to the local pub. I just drank Coke. Alcohol doesn't reeeally interest me much, but it was good company and stuff, but then they started kareoke, and I left and played some MOHAA:Spearhead ;) Heh! While at the pub, I went to the shopping centre it's in to grab some dinner and saw someone I knew from high school pushing her 3 year old son around while 4 months pregnant ;) I knew about the first kid, and wasn't really surprised. I guess I always thought of this girl as a little strange in high school, but now we're older, she seems quite normal, which is nice :)

I like the CBC writer's obvious bit of commentary there ;) Heh! And while I don't agree with smoking of anything, I don't think it should be criminal.. I think the WA view is they fine you and take your stash unless you have a large quantity. The US's views on "soft" drugs helps explain why nearly 1% of their population is in prison.. and why the drug companies make huge donations to both republicans and democrats..

In fact, many countries, notably in Europe, have already decriminalized marijuana, but none of them share a border with the U.S., where the policy is zero tolerance for smoking pot.
