First thing yesterday, I put our Symantec Ghost box back together, after it had spent the weekend copying stuff onto it's 120GB HDD (well it probably finished at about 6:20 on friday, but meh ;>), then I copied a lab image onto there (1 hour), then went to copy it onto the new lab machines, then remembered I needed to patch them into the network.. then remembered we didn't have enougn network cables.. eeek! But fortunately, thru some searches around the place I found enough and it was all good.. copied the lab image onto the PCs (2.5 hours) and set them up.. they seeem to work, tho not quite as well as I'd like.. hrms :/ must look into this further at some point.

Also yesterday I wrote some stuff for my boss's new proxy admin suite he's working on.. looks quite good, he's done most of the LDAP thingies for it, so I'm doing the SQL bits cause I'm kinda good at that *modest* ;)

Me ole matey Mel came is back in Perth from Sydney, and unlike last time when I arranged to meet her, and totally forgot.. this time I actually remembered. She and Chels and I had a fine ole time oot for dinner at Vultures, then chels went to see some other people and Gav showed up and we went for cawfeee.. I had some hot chocomalate, cause it was cold last night.

A fun day was had by all :)

Hmmm. I had an interesting day with various people from uni doing and talking about various IT things. But since much of what was discussed could be classed as "an unholy alliance" and other bits in contravention of national security, I can't say more about most of it. Heh!

Sent a lot of emails too.. most of them were quite helpful and constructive, which is always good ;) I think it's starting to sink in that I now only have 7 working days left until holidays :D
