stephiepenguin, maelkann and of course, lizbyrd. Though I didn't realise until later who maelkann was :P Heh! I'm just a tard. Oh well. Some people are doing some post-quiz-night berating of the organisers and question writers, but I didn't think it was too bad. I had fun. So we came last, but we only had 4 people, other tables had 6! We put in a fair showing ;> There were a fair mix of geeky and sci-fi questions, so our table's mainly unisfa population was able to answer some. There were also some bonus-rounds of writing the same program in about 10 languages and working out was some acronyms meant. Mhey glavin etc. We did ok there :) There was also a prize for the first person to bring a foreign coin up to the MC.. which I won, after digging thru my bag and finding a Canadian $1 coin which I didn't really know I had there.. heh. But I was sure I had something. If there wasn't any, the prize was going to go to someone with the highest value Australian coin.. someone on one of the other teams had a $100 coin. Wtf? :) I will admit, I have got an Australian $100 coin.. but I don't carry it around with me.. cause it's shiney and gold and valuable and stuff. We got the booby-prize of several old motherboards. Yay :P I did some swapping around and got one decentish one out of it all, and donated that to UCC and we threw the rest out ;> Heh!
Got home, showered, slept, woke up. Had an ICQ message from Ajit from my UWO days with his email address in it! Yay :P So I've emailed him and asked when and if he's still coming to Sydney/Brisbane, so I hope he responds soon so I can start planning what I'm doing over christmas. I also got an ICQ from Mike from my UWO days saying he was going to Cairns for christmas.. Kelly from UWO isn't going to be staying for Christmas, but I think there may be some overlap of their visits. So in fact.. there's only going to be two people from this photo who aren't going to be in Australia for christmas. Considering when and where that photo was taken, I find this co-incidence pretty damn cool :)
I should probably get out of bed and eat and like go to work. Meh :)
