Oct. 21st, 2003 09:25 pmGot a cold. Nasal cavity feels like it's filled with water. Sweet pseudoeffidrine in the form of Sudafed will fix me up however, and provide me with some whacked out dreams I'm sure. Though last night I did not take any, and had a dream which for some reason involved me getting injected in both eyeballs by a syringe.. ewwww. Yeah, not cool. The cut on my finger is also still healing nicely.
Didn't get up to too much today of note. SNAP is borked in EE for some reason.. packets go out to the SNAP server, but they don't come back in. Have asked various people to have a look at it. Went over budget with Tom some more. Mmm goodies. Did various other sysadminy work.
Came home, did some shopping, saw my ole english teacher, Mr Mason in the pub on the way back. For those of you not familiar with where I live, the supermarket is in a bizarro shopping mall which includes a pub with a beer garden of sorts (patio for those of you in Canada ;) which you go past on the way between home and shops, so it wasn't because I dropped in for a beer on the way back. In fact, I don't think I've had a drink of alcohol in this pub since 1999 :P Also tonight, I did some work on getting the 640x480 conversion happening on my colour classic chassis.. ( see http://colourclassicfaq.com/highres/ ) .. I've got the SMT resistor removed, and the pin isolated.. I just need to bring the other pins and bring the R79 spot.. I think I may try to get one of our electronics techs to do that tho.. hehe. I tried soldering it in place myself, but I think my soldering iron doesn't get hot enough or something, cause the solder wouldn't melt :/ Oh well ;)
