Jan. 8th, 2005 01:21 pmSo a new year and no LJ updatage yet! Amazing. Liz wrote a nice post last night that got eaten by deepest sender. Curses!
Thursday: Last day in town for my dad. Went to dinner at mum's place with him and Liz and then we dropped him at the airpoprt. During the day Liz and Amy and I went geek shopping. I got Liz some more RAM for her PC as an early birthday present, a Canon iP3000 printer, a firewire card for my PC and an external firewire case. Unfortunately the firewire case is based on the Oxford 911 chipset, which has a 128GB limit for drives, so we returned that and got a Coolermaster desktop/htpc type case and put my PC in it. Mm shiney.
Friday: We went to the zoo. It was cool :) We rode there and back (about 40 minutes each way) .. and got sunburnt, silly us. The red pandas were sleeping, which was a shame, but we could still see them. There were also ducklings. Then in the afternoon we rewired a lot of our entertainment gear to get the PC working with everything in an optimal fashion, including remembering that localtalk used the same cables as svideo and saving ourselves a trip to dick smith ;) Also tried out the printer, printing on a DVD for mum. Is cool :) We shall need to get a DVD-R drive for the PC now ;p
Today: Did very little.. will be going shopping for things like food soon. Probably.
Tomorrow: no plans as of yet.
Monday: Back to work.
