Today we began by tidying and laundry. This made me feel productive, but I still want to clean the bathroom soon. Went to Nandos for lunch. It's so expensive however, we really should avoid even eating there weekly. Oh well. Went to Bunnings afterware and bought some clothes hampers, so we can divide dirty clothes in our room, instead of doing it at washing time. I feel this will amount to a 10% productivity saving in washing. Also purchased; a nifty little travel hamper which folds up to about the size of a CD, another twirly thing for hanging underware/socks on on the line, a bin for the downstairs toilet and a length of clothes line to replace the broken one here since we moved in.

The clothes line we have is the standard 5 parallel lines on a retractable hangar.. however one had been broken since we moved in, and because of this, everything was unbalanced and wobbled a lot, and the non linear application of force inside the tensioner of the line meant it often let go and things fell down to the ground. I deftly replaced the remaining short section of line with the new one, affixing it inside the tensioner using the innovative yet simple keyhole+knot method, and then tightened everything up appropriately. Also today, I used the new rake and cleared up a lot of leaf little off the pavers out the back. I have a feeling that the things wiggling underneath them were mosquito larve. This would explain a lot. Note to self and other housemates, keep leaf little cleaned up.

Armed with my fresh new learners permit, some L plates and a wonderfully trusting girlfriend, I drove today through the back streets of Nedlands. Yay I can still drive. Liz's car is an automatic however, which made it really easy.

Three updates in one day.. amazing yes?

I just saw this ad on TV. I found it amusing, but I can kinda see why some people might find it offensive. It's basically calling people un-australian for not liking lamb.
