Mar. 8th, 2005 12:19 pmThis is very cute, a company that makes LCD displays that look like digital ink was demoing their products at a trade show. Let's say you can make LCD modules, let's say you want to make it look practical and cool. What do you do? Easy.. make a replacement LCD module for an iPod that uses your technology, then get your electronic engineers to put it in one :) I am very impressed. [Link]
In other news, People on Whingpool are arranging a bulk buy of Dell 2405FPW LCDs.. they're basically twice the size of my head, at approx 55x35cms. And only $1400 (or so..) *drool* [Link]
In still more news, and proof I'm actually doing work, I was writing a status report today on adoption of the central Firewall I apparently manage here. It would seem that last friday (and thursday too..), over 36,000(!) machines on campus sent traffic out to the internets. This number seemed a little high, but still.. Anyway, about 6000 of those are on the central Firewall, so that's not too bad (16%). No link :P
