Aug. 24th, 2008 09:29 pmI had inspiration while at my mother's over the weekend to borrow her box of negatives and try scanning them. This one is a photo more than a few people have commented on, and I've always thought it is one of the cuter ones of me as a kid ever taken (thought there's a whole lot more in this flickr set..).
I've had a scan of this photo online for years, so I figured I should update it. Overall, I'm reasonably happy with the job the Canon LiDE 80 does of 35mm negative scanning. I also managed to make it scan some older 126 format negatives, which is what my mum used until the 1990s, but it's more hit and miss. I'm going to try scanning some of the negatives with the Nikon Coolscan 4000 at work for comparison purposes.
