Alex and Elizabeth at the Jungfrau Sphinx
Oct. 9th, 2008 04:22 pmWe're still in Switzerland, still having fun. Went up the Jungfrau earlier this week. It's a pretty nice view, but something about being unpressurised at ~12000ft (that's about 1/3rd of flight altitude for an average aircraft) makes doing any physical activity, like walking up hill or stairs a bit difficult for me (and Elizabeth to an extent).
Yesterday I heard a fighter jet brake the sound barrier, which is I think the first time I've heard it in real life. The swiss air force have been flying around here the whole time we've been here.
We're off to Austria tomorrow. Elizabeth expressed some concern about being able to find vegetarian food there, but I Godwin'ed the conversation by saying "you know who else was a vegetarian from Austria..".
We will have internet access in Austria and arrange accomodation for Paris and London from there.
