What to do, what to do..

I want to go visit Ontario, but my time schedules conflict on a few issues.
20 Jul 2009 : Job App for Elizabeth closes
27 Jul 2009 : Job App closes for neat job for me
23 Jul 2009 -> 06 Aug 2009 : Good friend from UWO in London (normally lives in Calgary) (pretty much required)
29 Jul 2009 : Dinner party in Vancouver (required)
03 Aug 2009 : House warming for friend in Toronto (optional)
11 Aug 2009 : Cousin Kate will be in Vancouver
So the ideal time is probably to fly into London Ontario on about July 30, and then back here on about the Aug 06.
The thing is, we need jobs for long term sustainability here. And for jobs, we'll need interviews. And with closing dates of 20-27 of July, assuming we get interviews, they might want to talk to us in the first week or two of August. But of course, we've both applied for other jobs and not got interviews.
So do we throw away once in a year or so concordance of options of seeing cool people in the hope we do get interviews, or do we say "eh, we'll have the cellphone with number listed on the application with us, and we can organise friday 07 Aug 2009 for interviews if they're desperate for it to be that week"? I think in writing this blog post I have made the decision, and should buy tickets soon :)
