So the trip so far..
Picked up car from airport straight after work. Drove home, finished packing, had some noms, and then drove into the night. Quick wait at the border (and they were really nice!) then driving into the night to Seattle. Stopped on the way for a driver change + caffeine, got in at about 10:45. What a maze the streets of downtown Seattle are. Wow.
Met up with one of Elizabeth's friends for breakfast at Pike Place Markets. Very nifty place. Then onto the Museum of Flight. Such emotions. We crashed a party/wake Delta was holding for one of their last 747-200s (
N624US) before it flew off into the Sunset of demolition. Had a walk inside it too (without going through security!). They didn't like me taking photos from inside the fence, but were fine from outside. Sigh. Also saw the 757 Prototype (aka
the Catfish).
Had a look inside the museum, and then into the Airpark. The Airpark is kinda sad too. It has a Concorde, the first Air Force One 707, as well as the first 747, 727 and 737. They aren't in very good condition. The 747 is actually in pretty bad condition :/ Oh well.
Then drove down to Portland, and here we are now. Have many photos, but that's for later :D
