yeah i've heard about pearl harbor's popularity in japan, heh ... i think it's a combination of, yeah, putting their past behind them (it happens with the youth in every country really) and the fact (or maybe that's part of it) that american pop culture is just amazingly, well, popular in japan :P like, "ben affleck, squeeeee!!" (eww)
personally i find it amazing that there isn't deeper resentment there against the US because of the bombs. i find it pretty hard not to resent the US for doing that sometimes. like we would be reading about hiroshima and i'd have these random spasms of guilt. but i guess it's something you have to compartmentalize and look at in perspective, something that's so far back in history. anyway i'm rambling!
i keep meaning to ask you this .... who are "your girls" and why are they "your girls"? :P
