I just saw this ad on TV. I found it amusing, but I can kinda see why some people might find it offensive. It's basically calling people un-australian for not liking lamb.
I don't think I've ever eaten lamb on Australia Day. My family has been in Australia for at least seven generations, and we've always preferred beef for barbeques. I guess I'm un-Australian :P
I have First Fleeter ancestry, and we don't even BBQ on Australia Day :-D In fact it was often a day to get last-minute things finished before school started the next day. Depending on the day of the week it fell on of course. This year school started Monday due to AD falling on a Wednesday.
We usually went to fireworks if we were living where the council was rich enough to sponsor them. :-) It's raining in Brisbane at the moment though, so I don't know if the fireworks will go ahead tomorrow night. They're forecasting rain for the rest of the week!
