Ahh that special geek way of dealing with people, from http://electrons.psychogenic.com/articles/license.php#disclaimer ->

The information and circuits on our pages are provided for personal study only. Some deal with electricity, electronics and other potentially dangerous areas of study and experimentation--a sufficient knowledge is assumed. We will not take any responsibility for any personal injury or damage to property arising from use or abuse of the information provided on our pages. If you are too dumb or clumsy to manipulate electricity, sharp, hot or otherwise possibly harmful objects and substances, then just stay away or shut up and give us more proof that Darwin was right.

Brilliant :)

Knowing more about electronics hasn't helped me with being less stressed around electricity. Knowing for sure exactly how little it takes (in certain situations of course) to electrocute a person just makes me more aware of how close so many people come.

Of course, human nature being as it is, when someone is about to pull enough potential across their heart to electrocute 3 football teams, it is very common for them to be claim that it's perfectly safe. Maybe it's some sort of comic relief for the universe.
