You know..
While Apple are a cool company who put out some cool products, and while I am familiar with the bounds of time and space, I have installed 10.4.4 and "everything seems snappier".
You see these comments from lots of people after every OS point release. I reboot frequently and it doesn't make it faster. I leave this poor powerbook running 24/7, so it's not going to be missing out on cron events.. and yet, install a point release update, and everything really does seem faster. Dashboard seems faster to start up, Quicksilver is faster, CCC's password box comes up faster..
Maybe I don't need a Macbook Pro after all.. :)
Who am I kidding. However, I don't plan to upgrade until they have a 160GB BTO option. 160GB 2.5 inch PATA drives seem to be shipping from a number of stores online, so presumably the SATA versions aren't much behind. Eeexcellent.
