LOL n00bs are clueless by nature. And only the n00bs are going to rush out and buy a legit copy of windows 'just to get the latest updates'. Anyone who knows their stuff knows how to safeguard themselves from attacks that the updates 'prevent'.

That said, I do own 2 legit copies of winxp. One I bought while I was contracting as it was an expense I could claim, and the other copy came with my laptop (aka the microsoft tax). If I didn't need to be able to run activex stuff for my uni course I'd install ubuntu on the laptop and use the legit key for a desktop system. In another month or so when our bank account recovers from hubby having to replace his system (the motherboard died) he plans to purchase a nice brand spankin' new cd of winxp to use on his new system. It's a simple matter to change the key and activate the installation.
