Hah yes, I didn't have time to explain it.. was a bit rushed when I posted that last night. jphoenix was right.. I suspect he was in a relationship there, and because unlike canada, the US doesn't recognise same sex relationships, the only way he could stay was illegally. He was "meeting his friend from Florida" in Buffalo.
And as for the Florida/gay connection.. I wasn't conciously trying to make one, but on that subject, I've heard that west palm beach is particuarlly "pink friendly". But yeah :)
