Ok, so the plan yesterday was to show up at the Campbell's at about 10 and go to the Royal Show.. well, good plan I guess.

Caught the bus into town and was able to catch one out to Uni straight away. So I got to UWA at about 9:00AM instead of 9:45.. picked up the crimper and MOHAA CDs.. and thinks to myself.. well.. they're not expecting me till 10AM .. so went back and played MOHAA for about 30 mins. Mmm high high speed internet connection. I played it at home a bit later.. my ISP sucks. It drops traffic periodically for about 30 seconds, which is far from good for a multiplayer online game ;) And this is to a server running at another Perth ISP... lame. Must get ADSL :)

So anyway, get to the Campbell at about 10. Their friend Michael (17?) is there and answers the door. Hadn't seen him for a while. Uncle and aunt and Simon were out at various places, and Tim was in the shower. Then Rob comes home and we all go out. Not, of course, to the show, to the Apple store. So after some umming and ahhing, he buys an eMac for $2100 (128MB/40GB/CD-RW). We take it home, unpack it and set it up.. oh, and then he looks online and sees the same config on Apple's online page with a CD-RW/DVD drive for $100 more.. so he calls up and arranges to return the eMac he has and pick up that one next week. This is for cousin Tim. Every boy needs a Mac or two.. ahh well.

Simon and I ran some network cabling to Tim's room, in a move that seems eerily reminiscient of this event at Rob's sister's house in Vancouver. Hehe.

So then, at about 3PM, we all finally went to the show.. lotsa people. Who would have guessed? Saw the ducks. There seem fewer than in previous years. But still cute. There was a cute Khaki Campbell drake there, who had a funky duck attitude and was like quacking at me. Hehe. I love ducks ;) Didn't go on any rides. They're all like $5 each.. geeze people. Hung around until 6:30, by which stage I was pretty knackered... caught the train home. Had a fare enforcement officer try to chat me up or something ;) Hehe. I was waiting on the platform looking tired and bored and probably unhappy or something and she said "don't look so unhappy. It's a nice day".. heh. Had a bit of a conversation with her about the personnel shakeup that Perth's transit security is having. Fun fun. Reminded me of my days back at ECU doing Security management ;) Got home.. replied to a SMS text message from Susan to explain about how I connected her to lasers in that last post.. hehe. Ok, well I'm writing stuff on here sometimes and I just sort of miss out writing about a step my mind takes sometimes and it makes absolutely no sense to read. My bad ;)

Today Rob is picking me up sometime and we're going to the show again.. I only spent about 3 hours there yesterday in total. Also doing some more cabling with Simon.

I like ducks too! Hmm I miss the Perth Royal Show. I guess I should find out when the Canberra one is going on, and head to that.
