theducksOnly exciting thing that happened to me today was being at the scene of a car accident.. on my way back to work, two cars crashed into each other with a fair bit of impact about 5 meters away from me.. I jumped a mile. Both people seemed OK, but a tad pissed at each other surprisingly :)
Also, one of the mice shells we have stuck on the ceiling fell down onto the table while I was working there, missing my head by about 15 cms and made a huge CRASH on the desk.. so that made me jump a fair bit too ;) I was fixing a lab machine which kept forgotting how to boot windows.. I got the hard drive replaced.. but it still did it.. had a closer look.. and the RAM was loose. ARRG to intermittant problems. Reseated the RAM and it has been fine ever since. Stuck some new, non generic Nvidia GF2MX drivers onto it and it's a lot faster.. probably should do the entire lab some time.. ahh well.
Mum away to Albany tomorrow.. trying to get stuff done at the last minute on the computer and is in pork-chop mode.. so I'm just hiding in here. I think she still needs to pack too..
Got my phone bill yesterday for my modem line.. fricken $40! plus ISP fees of about $30/month .. I can get DSL starting at $70. Need to look into this sometime soon.. Mmm DSL.
Watching L&O Criminal Intent.. about some guy who's mom killed herself when he was a kid, now has a bizarre relationship with his sister and is a transvestite.. weird :)
