What a day.. heh

Jenny was sick again today.. but she came in anyway.. we told her to go home, and she didn't object, so off home she went :) So we were one down.. oh well.

One of the research groups is moving out today, so we had to copy all their data off the servers. Yeah.. 20GB of data over 100M ethernet still takes a while. Unk :)

Also, the building got broken into and two laptops got stolen, and windows and locks broken, so we had cops around. Also meant we had to supply someone with a computer really quickly for someone. It was really weird tho.. they broke in thru a third floor window.. like.. 20 metres off the ground.. no idea how they got in. Well.. ok, obviously thru the window.. but it's a long way from anywhere. Weird.

Had a nice pub lunch.. tomorrow I'm going to have a pretty short day.. won't get to work till 9:30 - 10, and will leave at about 4 to go to moofies.. I was going to go straight from work and leave my laptop there, but hmm, don't think I'll do that anymore :P Heh. Going to see Signs with dexywexy and some friends. Mmm socialising. Heh. Then Friday night, off to a friends place for dinner and DVDs. Mmm DVDs.

Another interesting thing.. the bus driver on the bus from work to the city was not just Canadian, he was from London Ontario, and used to live near Oxford and Adelaide. Heh. Small world :)

I don't usually talk to bus drivers.. but well, I was a dork today, and my multirider ticket had run out :P Bah! So I had to buy a ticket.. but then I only had a $20, so I had to ask him really nicely if he could change it. And he could.. I noticed an accent and thought "hmm.. is he? most likely" ... "so, where abouts in Canada are you from?" "Hah.. well picked.. London Ontario"

Bit of fun.. had a bit of a chat while we were waiting at some lights. He had a maths degree from Western 30 years ago :)
