I spent like the entire fricken day dealing with crap from Windows computers. *hugs his macs* First, had to get some bizarre financial services program working.. got part of the way there, then it wouldn't let her log on, so I had to wait for the weirdo from financial services to call me back around it.. which means I have to go back again tomorrow and get it going. Blah. Also have to fix another problem with this fricken program on some other computers too. And these people put in a request today and expect it done today.. HAH. We installed this program 10 months ago. You've been using it since then and we haven't touched it. And it's just suddently stopped working? on all three computers? That sure sounds like our fault *sarcasm*

Then I was feeling sorry for a 4th year and installed a webserver on a PC for her to use for her final year project.. tried the built in personal web server.. and had no fricken idea why that didn't work, or indeed, how to configure it, so then I just uninstalled that and put on a VERY basic 100kb web server, which seemed to work. But still, annoying that the built in one was so crap.

And THEN, I had to setup and test *two* PCs for someone.. one with a modem in, and internet connection sharing so he could use them both from home.. god that took ages to do. I've been workign on it on and off since July.. Heh. But it looks like it's done now.. yay :P

And tonight, I've been reading the Windows XP Professional resource kit manual, ie, the technical manual for Windows XP.. for the really cool features of it, you need to use Windows .NET server.. which surprise surprise, we don't want to use. Blah. Looks like we'll have to, so we'll have to work out some way of intermingling stuff. Blorf.

Le sigh.
