Jun. 28th, 2007 10:09 amSo it's been pointed out that my livejournal interblog is about 75% Mac geekery. This is probably pretty accurate. Sorry
ataxi :-)
So to keep in that vein, let me say w00t, re my MacBook Pro now having a 250GB HDD. Didn't take too long to install, and all went smoothly. I appreciate the changes they made from the Powerbook series for taking the things apart. No nasty clips requiring a dentral probe, no locking FFC connections to break, easy to change SATA plug instead of IDE. It'd be a perfect machine, were it not for the RPC-2 crapped DVD drive. I met a Zebra at WWDC who suggested this might not last long, so I have hope in that.
Let's see.. non mac geeky.. hmm.. I'm over my jetlag (w00t!).. Edit: oops :I decomissioned an OS9 Mail server running on a 1995 vintage PowerMac 7500 (with
frenchiephish's help).. I've put an order for our network upgrade kit (mm $40k), and due to the high potential of a staff member coming back, in whom's position my boss is currently in, I'm about to become my boss's boss.
