A feeling a fair bit better today.. went to doctors to get a medical certificate to explain my absence from work this week. While there I got paperwork for some more thyroid blood tests, cause it has been a while since I last had one.. he's getting them to send me a copy of the results, to save me calling him up and asking, and on the basis that he thinks I can read them ;p Heh.
The downside of the doctor's visit was the $63.60 it cost :P But I went straight from there to medicare (public socialist health insurance) and got $30 back.. then I went into the city and signed up for HBF health insurance. Because of how much I earn, I will get charged an extra 1% salary medicare levy if I don't have private health insurance.. the private health insurance is $440/year .. which is close to $100 less than I would have paid for public health insurance otherwise, and I get reduced cost dental care and a free pair of glasses/contacts each year.. I really should get my eyes checked soon too ;p
Had some lunch in the city and ran into
kokomo and had a bit of a chat. My advise.. stay away from the Red Rooster ham and salad baugettes. Bleh mustard. While walking back to the bus I saw, from a distance,
evil_megz. Then I saw James Devenish.. then I saw another friend from ECU. Damn Perth :) Caught the bus to UWA, picked up a cheque for the 900mhz iBook, called the new owner to let her know it was ready, went to the bank and cashed the cheque. Walked back home and got a phone call from a worried
lizbyrd who knew I had a Doctor's appointment at 10:20 and it was now 2:45 hadn't been online since. Poor worried byrd.
Tada.
