Um, yeah, I don't see how "people dying or being made sterile in horrible accidents" constitutes a proof of evolutionary theory.

The folks who would die in that way are probably off having way more hot sex and kids than the geeks who wrote that page *smirk*

These people aren't sufficiently focused on reproduction to claim any special status with respect to fitness within the human cohort. ...

On the other hand, writing tools and documentation for the right audience is a skill to be admired and passed on, possibly at the expense of the occasional outburst of cheap rhetoric *grin*

Knowing more about electronics hasn't helped me with being less stressed around electricity. Knowing for sure exactly how little it takes (in certain situations of course) to electrocute a person just makes me more aware of how close so many people come.

Of course, human nature being as it is, when someone is about to pull enough potential across their heart to electrocute 3 football teams, it is very common for them to be claim that it's perfectly safe. Maybe it's some sort of comic relief for the universe.
