So today is a federal election day in Canada. Because Canada is Really Big, so provinces are still voting while others are counting. In order to prevent results in one province from influencing another, it is prohibited to publically communicate the results before 10PM EST.

CBC has an article about this, and how it applies to bloggers too. And then they ask the question "What about friends locked Livejournal posts?"

Yes, yes indeed.. WTF? Did the CBC just talk about friends locked livejournal posts?!? *blinks*

I'm not sure that's the cbc as such, just some cbc-affiliated guy who writes a blog which as far as I can see is entirely about political blogging. So it's less surprising he is paying attention to lj :)
