The plan of evil continued at work today.. I got the Cisco 3750, Cisco ASA5510 and the Lucent Firewall all happy with each other. I think I'm about 80% of the way there with configuration, just need to fill out the config of the ASA and polish things up. Even got the PAT up and going..
Things went a lot faster once I realised the internal interface of the ASA5510 had the same IP as the routing interface on that network on the Lucent firewall.. Yeah, routing between three things where two of them have the same IP isn't very helpful.. wups.
Without the actual fibre in the ground, I can't fully test things, but I can put some testing kit on the uplink port and test it's basically working. The fibre may be delayed somewhat.. blah.

Date: 2006-06-09 01:18 pm (UTC)It'll be fine to hook into bright and mess about with; but please don't link that into the rest of UWA's routing for now. I've got a null route on villa for the whole /24; its there for a reasonably good reason (ie, I don't want to see traffic loops. Its a long shot, but its not impossible, and I hate to think of what might happen if the moon aligns correctly late one evening and a lone packet starts a fire..)
