Have zero sympathy for Mr Jobs and Apple. As the largest provider of DRM-encoded music, they're a logical target. If the regulators can take down iTunes, either the record companies agree to stop using DRM or lose a very big cash cow at a time when 'traditional' sources of revenue are giving falling returns.
Besides, if they were really so anti-DRM and thought that it was evil, they'd make a concerted effort to provide tracks without it, from bands and labels that refuse to use it.
