Co-worker Mark and I were bemoaning the fact that a video iPod wouldn't hold enough juice to play video for the entire flight from Perth to San Francisco. I pondered briefly.. we can't change the batteries mid flight, but on the other hand, we have got several spare iPod Videos hanging around.. simple solution, each take 5 x iPod videos!

I think there might be some issues with this idea though. Drats.

I was looking in to building a MintyBoost (or something similar) for much the same reason, but in the end I ran out of time.

Belkin makes a AA power supplicant for the iPods. It worked quite well on my 3G ipod.

Or another USB power source. One way or another you should be able to juice all the way across the lake :)

Yeah, I have one of them too.. but seriously, a bag full of fully charged iPods would be much cooler ;-)

some airlines (qantas, singapore, etc.) have chargers you can borrow... and business-class have them built in to the seats
