You know, I'm beginning to see why people don't like the more powerful Apple of today. Back when they were the underdog and had to co-operate, Steve stayed in his box more.

Remember, they werent originally going to sell unlocked ones, Vodafone made them go there.

So now they're just making it very financially unfeasable to buy an unlocked iPhone. And as I recall, they ARE still locked into a contract, it's just not SIM locked.

It's all very stupid. SIMLocking should be illegal.

As I understand it, you can have the contract phones unlocked for free, it's if you want a non-contract unlocked phone that you'll have to pay €999.
