We had a weekend?

what a weekend.. yesterday was the UCC cleanup, which went well. I'm of two minds about it.. I made very little of the mess (1 cubic metre of LCDs excluded), but I keep going because I do care about the club.

Went to [livejournal.com profile] alias_sqbr's Tupperware party in the afternoon, and spent a fair bit, but we'll have some awesome ice cube trays (and other stuff) out of it. Came home, and watched 5 episodes of Kenshin (Kyoto Arc) with Elizabeth.

Woke up at 7:30 this morning, and headed off to help pack up former UCC members Paul Repacholi's estate of old DEC Equipment for a computer museum. A fun morning of grunting moving PDP8, 10 and 11's ensued. Will be heading back same time next week to help do more. I've suggested they get a skip bin, because there's a lot of stuff there that isn't worth keeping.

After the PReP cleanup, I went to the ANDA and was a banknote nerd. It's always fun to go to these, since the same vendors keep coming. I mean, I remember meeting some of these people as a 14 year old, like Klaus Ford, John Petit and the Downie family. At the show today, they were showing off Australia's rarest banknote, the first note ever printed by a federal government in Australia, 1917 10 shilling note serial M000001, with an estimated sale price of $1.4M.

Came home, went shopping, cleaned up kitchens. Now am chatting me dad on the phone and explaining flickr to him :)

OK the first bank note in Australia is a really cool awesome thing :D I've discovered I'm a bit of a geek in the oddest areas. I went into a bank in Montreal and they had this little museum, and it was so cool. The best thing in there was a cheque written on seal skin. (It was really old..)
