Got my new MacBook Pro today. Woo! It's a fair bit snappier, and the screen is much nicer (and glossy). I'm quite happy with it, especially considering the previous one is several years old now. Also, the new one is about 120grms lighter (~5%).

Last weekend was fun - games day, then had fun talking to [livejournal.com profile] firefly21 and [livejournal.com profile] maelstrm while they gave me a lift home. Spent the night lazying around at home. Had a sore throat so decided not to try karaoke with [livejournal.com profile] aphrodite and others. Sunday I caught up with [livejournal.com profile] e_bee and some others for a picanic in Kings Park.

We've been so busy recently. For the last few weeks, we've pretty much only been free on Monday nights. Relaxing would be nice.

This weekend will be Swancon. I've got a membership, mostly so I fit in.. I don't see too many uber exciting things on the program so far, but the attendees are fun too.

Urm, 3 isn't several?

According to http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/several it can be.

In this instance, my previous MBP is 2 years old

Got my new MacBook Pro today.

Oooh. Jealous.

1920x1200? 4GB?

My MBP was my first true foray into the Mac world, and it's been wonderful. My Mac and I have a close relationship.

15 inch, so 1440x900 and only 2GB of RAM/250GB HDD for now. Will probably upgrade it to 4GB/500GB next year when the prices tail down

Why the need for 500gb instead of using an external HDD?

A 2GB Mushkin Apple certified PC2-5300 DDR2 SODIMM for Macbooks/MBPs is $55 here. Made going to 4GB a no-brainer.
