How do I love thee Amnet, let me count the ways

I got an email from Amnet, my ISP, on the 19th of this month informing me of a short 15 minute downtime overnight last night. Of course this morning when we awake, our internets was down, and so was everyone else I know who uses them. Yay! And it's still down too! Yay!

This is why I have a 3G modem with a 1Gb data plan.

As someone who has blown maintenance windows before because things have just unravelled, I'm willing to cut others some slack from time to time. Plus, it's working now.

Are you really that addicted that you needed 3G rather than wait 20 minutes before you were connected to UWA's megajumbucks of bandwidth?

Are you with amnet? Mine and my mum's connections are still down.

I did ponder waiting, but I also woke up at 6:45 today :P

We are. It's brand new (literally) ADSL2.

Mine's up.

I've no idea whether ours is up or not - we were supposed to be connected yesterday. Got the notification from Amnet that we were, but there appears to be some line issues (no dial tone) which Telstra are looking in to. Amnet were really good at keeping me informed via SMS thought. There service has certainly improved in recent years.

Work's Amnet connection came back up after 7 minutes.
