Went DVD shopping yesterday.. got an Alanis Morrissette DVD, "Music in high places", haven't watched that yet, but my absolute favourite was the new Barenaked Ladies DVD I got, "Barelaked Nadies". It has ALL of their music videos on it. Truely amazing to watch. Many of BNL's videos were made before they got "Really big" .. listening to the commentary to some of them was really cool.. like "Lovers in a dangerous time" .. "this is the music store where I was working at the time.. I made that sign out the front" .. driving thru a neighbourhood.. "this is the house I grew up in, and that's my mom's civic in the drive way" .. "this sweater was from -someone's- mom.. I thought I should wear it" and pointing out things like "I also wore this vest in the video clip for Enid. These were the nicest clothes I owned. Many people think we have stylists. Until very recently, we didn't, it was all stuff from our wardrobe". I hadn't seen the clip for "Get in line" before.. hilarious.. it's set in King of The Hill.
I'm really happy with it.. well, except it's fricken NTSC and not PAL, which means I can't use on it on the TV.. but oh well. Hmm the Alanis DVD doesn't say if it's NTSC or PAL.. I mean, on one hand, it's nice that we're starting to use the same TV signal as the largest consumer nation on earth, but TVs/DVDs/VCRs that do it have only really been available here for a few years.
That is all :D
